Balcony and loggia glazing technology

by 360roomsnews

Often, during the construction of standard projects, glazing loggias and balconies is not provided for. With the help of glazing, protection is created against loss of heat, noise, moisture, and dust penetration into the apartment. And of course, if the balcony is glazed, then it is more comfortable in it in winter.

Very often, in the absence of a glazed balcony, residents of houses begin to make their own decisions, which often do not go too much with the overall architectural type of building – this is glazing of the balcony, and for this, metal -plastic windows, for example, PVC REHAU windows, or other profiles are most often used. It should be noted that not only window and door blocks are made of PVC profiles, but also glass frames. The most effective are the profiles that are reinforced with metal liners. Such profiles compensate for high linear expansion of plastic, and also increase mechanical strength. This type of balcony glazing does not require special care, so the original type of window will last a long time. Ideally, for the loggia, PVC profiles with internal jumpers and heat -insulating inserts are best suited.

For glazing the balcony, you can also use wood, metal, or double -glazed windows. However, this choice depends not only on how much you are going to spend money on glazing the balcony, but also on the architectural features and technological capabilities.

Some people choose cold glazing of the balcony, and aluminum or steel profiles are used for this. By the way, aluminum profiles can be used for warm glazing, however, warm aluminum must be used.
