Fashion is different, this concept has long been stopped associated exclusively with the catwalk and glossy magazines. Designers and consumer demand set the fashion for almost everything, there will be no exception and furniture. What is the trend in furniture fashion today? The answer will be unequivocal – painted facades. This type of facades interested the consumer after their appearance at the Italian furniture exhibition 15 years ago. Companies that produce furniture, from the first stages of production, understood how time -consuming and complex process it is. Obtaining a painted facade involves the high accuracy of the work of all stages, observance of the temperature-humid regime and the presence of expensive multicomponent paints, soils and varnishes, not to mention the presence of specialists of this case. What painted facades can be called high -quality? The coating on such furniture should hold firmly, have mechanical strength, elasticity and firmness, resistance to unsaturated alkalis and moisture, resistance to burnout, gas exposure, it should not have smell and be chemically neutral and this is not a complete list of what we we belong to the concept of “quality furniture”. The production of painted facades is based on MDF plates and paintwork materials. MDF is a slabs made of woody dried fibers, which include binders. MDF has several advantages over natural wood, as well as more democratic prices. For painting MDF panels, paintwork materials are used, their production is carried out only a dozen companies around the world, the largest of them: Herbert’s, Sayerlack, Akzo Nobel, Tikkurila. The production process includes grinding the fixed facades, the application of soil, grinding soil, applying soil-filler, finish grinding, applying enamel, highlight varnish and polishing. Despite the high cost of these facades, they are in demand among consumers primarily due to the variety of surfaces and color palette. In addition to bright saturated colors, such special effects as “metallic”, “pearls”, “mother -of -pearl”, “chameleon” can be applied to the surface of the facade. The latest achievements in this area allow us to combine paint and veneer, paint and special PVC film with a patterned pattern.
