For any architect, the house is a single integral system, parts of which are inseparable from each other. And all factors affecting the quality of housing are closely intertwined and interconnected. Therefore, when projects of country houses and cottages are produced, we are not conducted separately about the orientation of the building on the cardinal points and its volumetric-planning solutions. Everything is interconnected, and everything affects the comfort of life in such a house.
As for the location: it has long been known that it is better to turn all auxiliary premises to the north – a garage, a hallway or pantry. Accordingly, residential places – the living room, the veranda or the dining room – it is better to turn south. This approach is convenient when the projects of one -story houses are created, in this case, heat and normal illumination is maintained. The layout of the cottage is also created for certain needs. There is a classic scheme of one -story building with an attic. In the area, such a house occupies almost the entire land, but incredibly convenient for communications and control over children. From the point of view of the cost of a square meter, a two -story design scheme with an attic is very convenient, and it is very common everywhere. Three -story buildings are built when the building is in constrained conditions of the land. But there are a couple of disadvantages: long engineering communications and the complexity of constant movements from the first to the third floor.
The architect, developing the project, thinks not only about the appearance of the building, but also about the interior. Often in the rooms you can find mowed corners. They perform another function – make the facade more unusual, but how justified it is inside the room? If the corners of the house are mowed by 45 degrees, then this will be a successful solution if they help better and more conveniently put furniture in the room. In general, any complication in the construction of the cottage does not make sense if it does not bring practical benefits for the owners of the house. A very common technique that allows you to decorate the house and expand the interior – the device of the bay. This is a triangular or semicircular ledge on the facade of the building, which is propped up with a column or simply hangs due to the laying under it with a reinforced concrete slab. Bloomers always give sophistication to the appearance of the building.
